Mr. Radio

This is an interactive radio experience. The finale features a little man in a suit with a projected face from a pocket projector. I used PDLC film so that I could make the “windows” of the cathedral radio become transparent. The lighting is provided by 24 LEDs. The body of the radio is an original Crosley Model 148. It is controlled via Processing running on a laptop that serial communicates with an Arduino. The inputs on the radio are two potentiometers connected to the Arduino. The lighting scenes were programmed on the Arduino and are cued from Processing, which also controls the audio and the video.
