This is an interactive mechatronic art project that I built for my DXARTS class at the University of Washington. The dollhouse uses a hidden camera and facial recognition software so that it only opens the door if someone is looking directly at it from a certain distance away. Then, if that person tries to get a closer look, the house will close the door and a turntable will change the scene before reopening. I designed the dollhouse in SketchUp and Rhinoceros and laser cut the pieces out of plywood.
